An in-development folk opera by Geneseo-based composer Glenn McClure explores an overlooked chapter in the life of Civil War nurse and American Red Cross founder Clara Barton: the decade she spent in Dansville, New York and the emotional reasons that brought her there. The opera was given a concert-style workshop in late August at the Geneseo Riviera.
